thanksgiving

1. my newfound self-respect and my long overdue acceptance of sharon jennifer bridges white
2. my husband
3. my four beautiful children: michael, molly kate, sam and clay
4. the good health of the aforementioned six human beings
5. my one and only sibling, my sister, jessica. she is my best friend and understands me.
6. my father. he has a gentle soul and has taught me how to be a good businesswoman.
7. my mother. she has given me life, taught me to be independent and reminds me to stay grounded.
8. the unconditional love my parents have for my children and my husband.
9. my wit and sense of humor. while it is a shield i hide behind at times, it is also a wonderful part of my personality that i cherish.
10. my mind. it is filled with knowledge, and always seeking more. it is open, and i am SO grateful for that...and most of all it is being re-built. the winds of change are wiping away old paths, tracks and footprints, so the new can replace the old.
11. my friends. they are the rungs on my ladder of life. i stand on their backs and depend on their support, so i can reach to greater heights.
12. my past. for without it, i wouldn't be who i am, where i am and WHAT i am. the tears, heartache, mistakes, sorrows, joys, laughter and accomplishments have molded the woman standing before you today.
13. my present. while it is extremely challenging and full of struggle at this time, i know that #12 has taught me that i will survive and i can get through this, regardless of the outcome.
14. my future. it is bright. i know this. i embrace this. i trust that whatever life has in store for me is far greater than i can imagine in my own mind.
15. my discovery family. it has brought more beautiful people into my life. and to be quite honest...without these amazing men and women, this list would be quite different. thank you all for giving me a chance to see the sun shining beyond the clouds.

xoxo,
