i was admitted to the hospital yesterday because over the thanksgiving weekend i was feeling some pressure and pain related to the twins. i was able to see my doctor earlier than planned and after an exam told me that i was 50% effaced and dilated 3cm. i had a sono later in the morning which revealed that the boys are doing well and still look very healthy (and very active...). i was admitted and on bedrest until at least wednesday.
dr. freeman visited me this morning on her rounds. after talking with the perinatologist they've decided to keep me here until i deliver. i am 32 weeks. ideally they'd like for me to get to 34 weeks but her goal is jan 1. hopefully resting my overactive mind and busy body will allow them to develop to their fullest potential so we have big healthy babies.
i welcome ANY and ALL visitors, phone calls and such. As you all know, I don't take orders to rest or sit still very well. clearly dr freeman understands that with two small children at home, my chances of accomplishing the "rest" part of bed rest would be almost impossible. therefore i am here indefinitely. lee has been a total champ through this and will be rescued by my mom tomorrow.

Hi Sharon...I'm not sure we've ever met but Angie (my sister in law) has been keeping me updated on your pregnancy! I am also pregnant with twins. I just made 29weeks. I have been on bed rest for 10 weeks now - so if you need any tips let me know! I am sure you will get to Jan.1, escpecially now that you will be really resting! We will have to keep each other updated!
